The Tait Auto Group will be holding their annual 4-person Ambrose at the Goondiwindi Golf course on Friday, September 19.
This is always a popular event on the golf calendar and organisers are expecting a big field to compete for a generous display of trophies.
Saturday’s Mitre 10 Day was a big success with more than 70 hitting off in the event.
There were some great trophies up for grabs and the prizewinners were:
Overall: David Wright, Matt Bauman, Don McKenzie 55 5/6.
Runners-up: Graham Smith, Peter and Brodie Cook 56. Third: Matt Chapman, Carl Manton and Mick Wadwell 56 ½.

2nd: Jim Dyball (1.55m); 6th: Bryan Meenin (68cm); 10th: Brodie Cook (8.76m); 15th: Carl Manton (2.40m); 18th: Ant Wood (72cm).

Mark Cleary was one of two golfers to finish the 18 hole stableford on Sunday due to rain and won the money with 34 points.
The President’s Cup was decided on Sunday when Barb Suhr and Luke Smith played Richard and Alison Siddins.
It developed into a close tussle which was only decided on the 18th when Barb and Luke emerged winners by one point.
Wednesday’s Veterans was won by John and Iris Guyer with 27 points on a countback from Ken Montgomery and Ant Wood and Roger Stewart and Robert Cairns.

Thursday’s Sporters attracted a big field and winner was Barry Lowe with 23 points.
Runner-up was Andrew Glasson also on 23.
