A big day at Talwood races

A big day at Talwood races

1/10/2008 10:59:00 AM
More than 300 people gathered at the Talwood Races on Saturday to enjoy not only the impressive racing line up but a 40th birthday celebration for a couple of the local lads.

The picnic lunch was a meal extravaganza and the Calcutta, novelty foot and pram races were again big draw cards.

A new feature to the races was a mechanical bucking bull which provided great entertainment for young and old alike - children lining up during the day and a few late-nighter revellers trying their luck after a bit of dutch courage.

The fireworks display was a real show stopper and definitely wowed the gathered crowd, who enjoyed the delicious camp oven dinner, created by local identity, Whisky.

Music provided by Polly ensured entertainment for those late night partiers.
